VCK Weekly 10/27/14-11/2/14

Hello Vintage Families,

We hope you had a great week and your kids are waking up from their Halloween sugar comas. 🙂

This Sunday at Vintage City Kids, we are so excited to teach the elementary kids about the building of the Tabernacle and how it has always been God’s desire to dwell with us. We have a really fun Sunday planned as we are going to build our own homemade “fort style” tabernacle in kids church.

It was an incredible Sunday last week as the kids were able to respond to the Bible Story by the taking of bread and cup. It was such a joy to get to see them partake in the elements with such faith and gratefulness to Jesus. It is so encouraging to see that the hearts of these kids are set on worshipping the Lord!

The preschool kiddos will be learning again that “God is Worshipped!” The kids will get to worship the Lord with fun songs, bubbles and kazoos and by making megaphones to be able to shout praises to the King! These little ones are going to have so much fun learning and deepening in their understanding of worship.

The 5th-6th Graders in our Student Leadership Class have been learning that in order to lead like Jesus we MUST understand how to serve. This week, the kids will discuss the value of “Serving ’Til It’s Over.” Sometimes serving is fun when there is anticipation building or excitement and fun surrounding them; however, are they ready to stick it out when the event is over and the crowds have gone home, everything is dirty and our minds and bodies are flooded with exhaustion? Paul advises, “Do not grow weary of doing good!” I can’t wait for this topic of discussion accompanied by some awesome worship, prayer, food and fellowship!

One last thing… enjoy your extra hour of sleep and don’t forget to turn your clocks back for Daylight Savings!
