Nehemiah's ultimate intention - let the revelations of God be known. He said, "Do not be afraid of your enemies." While the enemy whispers, "What God has said will never happen." Our ears should be tuned to the truth. Yes, don't be afraid of your enemies. Fight for your brothers, sons, daughters, wives, and houses. Use prayer, love, and forgiveness to fight for them.

What is your internal narrative telling you? This narrative must be confronted and sacrificed to the Lord. The Lord wants to embrace us with open arms, and we are called to do the same with people inside and outside the church. How we welcome and receive other people reflects how we view ourselves. Our unhealed past and brokenness can hinder the freedom we have in Christ. As soon as you confront and give up your inner narrative to God, then you have the freedom in Him to welcome other people with love and joy.

What is Sabbath? A day set aside to rest, not to work, it's a holy day. The Lord modeled this for us in the Creation story as He rested on the 7th day. So Sabbath is about resting and ceasing to work. It's a hard concept to wrap our minds around in today's crazy, busy society. We fill our lives to overflowing and often struggle to find the "off" button until we are burnt out and sick and tired of being sick and tired. However, considering why the Sabbath was given, we realize it is rooted in His kindness and is for our benefit. Resting is the issue.
