Speaker: Dr. Jay Leroux
Passage: Matthew 13
We are living in the greatest time period of the restoration of our God’s ultimate intention. Prophet Isaiah will say it first, Paul quoted it, but I do believe this, if the princes of this world, they would have never crucified the Lord of Glory, because when they did, and He ascended, “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered the heart of any man,” including this one, “which God hath prepared for them who,” in Isaiah’s words, have been waiting for Him.
Certainly, my generation has been waiting for things he believed, and who love Him, we have both of them here. He is determined in this generation to bring some things to a close that we have known in the church world. He’s not upset, He’s not angry, He’s not disappointed, He never is that, but He often times marks off periods of time where He’s going to bring change, especially spiritual change, and we’re very much in that time period right now.
The Kingdom of God has always been here. I’ve been awed by it, I love this, this old covenant from His incarnation back. I mean, can you imagine, there was nothing, that’s why I’ve fallen in love more and more with this word and His word, because He simply spoke, it’s the power of His voice, the power of His word, and where there was nothing, He created the Earth and all that we see by that, just His word.
And then we know by the second verse already, there’s a chaotic moment. The same Earth is now without form, void, dark, darkness has covered it, and you wonder, the God who created, can He recreate? That’s why we love Him about healing and restoration, and, and no matter what you’ve lost in your life, this, this God’s able to bring it right back better than it was the first time.
And He begins to brood, the Spirit of God is brooding over this dead Earth, and He speaks again, and He speaks again, doesn’t even touch anything, it’s the power of His voice, the power of His word. The kingdom of God is His sovereign power to do what He wants to do. No kingdom stops Him, no king stops Him, no darkness stops Him, no one stops Him. It is the power of His might.
We don’t really see it, briefly with Abraham- what a moment. I mean, the man’s dead, the wife’s dead, we kind of like this, we don’t really know, something happens here, and they’re able to give birth, so that the promise of God was impossible, could come to pass, improbable, they’re dead, but He speaks, and He gives life to this dead womb of Sarah’s.
But it really isn’t until this forty-year period in the Exodus. It’s an amazing moment, the children of Israel, where they came in with sixty-nine family members of Jacob, and now have become a nation of probably they say 3.2 million. They’re crying out because of such oppression.
The Egyptians were probably one of the most demonic-influenced nations the world’s ever known. And they’re crying out, and they heard about this God, because the Hebrews would give their information by an oral translation and writing, but orally they would tell the stories. They knew about Noah, they knew about Abraham, they knew about Isaac, they knew about Jacob, they knew they were of Jacob’s seed, but here they were greatly oppressed, and so they cried out to a God they’d never seen, never known, they didn’t even know if He could hear them, they didn’t know if he existed.
And all of a sudden we know that Moses, also known by his friends as the Big Mo, sees a bush burning, and he says, yo, yo, burning bush, not consumed, I’m going to go check it out. I would too. And he gets over there, and he’s going to hear from someone he’s never heard from before, briefly, while he was there, he had a sense that he was delivering his people.
And He says to Moses, I’ve come to deliver my people. I’ve heard their cry. Can you imagine that He hears the cry of His people? And we know these people won’t even like Him, they’ll despise Him, they’ll push against Him, they’ll resist Him, but this is the Father that we have, this is the God of who our God is about, and He will deliver them with a demonstration of power.
The first three demonstrations of power, the Egyptian sorcerers will copy them, and then Moses will bring in the remaining seven, and this nation that once stood as the greatest nation on the face of the Earth, from these demonstrations of power, the whole world knew it, Rahab heard about it, Jericho heard about it, they didn’t see it, the news traveled that the God of the tribe of Jacob, that Jacob’s family, God was delivering them, the God they never heard of.
You know how He delivered them, and they came out with everything, with gold, silver, precious stones, they just kind of wheeled out- no sword, no Spirit, didn’t even have a fight. And Pharaoh came after them with six hundred chariots, and they got to the Red Sea, and Moses looked up, and he goes out, the people looked at him, goes, I don’t know, does he really fulfill what He says He will do?
And he looks up at God, He says, Man, raise that staff, and at night an east wind blows and blows the Red Sea wide open, and then the next day the Egyptians will follow them, and He’ll close up that Red Sea, and for forty years a cloud about the size of Rhode Island will cover them during the day, because of the sun, a pillar of fire will warm them, He’ll feed them a rock we know is Christ. Are you kidding me? He’s not even here yet. We’ll follow Him, and they’ll drink in the Sinai Peninsula, there’s no water, but these people will drink from a rock, it’ll follow them, even though they’re the way they were, it was a demonstration of the Kingdom of God and absolute power and dominion.
We’ll see it again in Elijah and again in Elisha, Daniel will be the last one, probably 530 BC. It amazes me, for five hundred and thirty plus years, these people of God would live without the demonstration of the Kingdom of God. If they did, other generations have, and other generations will.
I want to tell you, before I even begin this morning, we will not. He is intending to restore the power of His might back to His people again. He’s come, He’s returning to us, and one of the things that has to be restored to us is the Kingdom of God in full demonstration, not in three men, not in three churches, around the world with the people of God. That was always His intent, always, we can expect that.
But it would be that incredible moment, it would be the incarnation, it would be the first time, Pastor Greg mentioned it about us, that a seed would come from the heavens. The Spirit of God would hover over a young woman in Bethlehem and plant within her something that had never been before. A seed from God came. Oh, we’ve had patterns, we’ve had visions, we’ve had dreams, but nothing ever came from the heavens. He’ll be the first one born from above. He’ll be the beginning of something the world’s never seen.
We’re about to see not only the Kingdom of God in a precedented demonstration, but we’re about to see the Kingdom of Heaven revealed in ways we never knew. He is the beginning of something the Lord He had anticipated, prepared long ago. That what was once hidden in the heavens, where He dwelt, where no man could come, that one day the heavens and the Earth would be one, and that humanity would experience what had been hidden from the ages.
That’s why He came. He was the manifestation and the demonstration of what had been hidden in the heavens, the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God simultaneously within Him. He will have thirty-seven miracles, the ones they documented. He made it clear at the end, you know the stuff I did. Oh yeah, you’re the dude, you’re the man. There’s no one like you. He said, you still don’t get it, do you? Get what? What I’ve done, you’ll do.
And there’s going to be a generation in 2026 that will do more. That’s my intent, but not without the Kingdom of Heaven, we cannot have it. That alone has been in the Earth, lasted for ten years, fifteen years, twenty years, thirty years. We’ve got to have this demonstration and manifestation of the Kingdom of Heaven. It is in Him, it’s three and a half years of His life. He will begin to share with His disciples, I want to do that this morning.
There will be seven parables of the Kingdom of Heaven. And I love what He does, that He play like, you know, He’ll tell stories, and it’s like this, it’s like this, and He does it. I want to make this really clear to us this morning, that’s why it’s so valuably important. This is to be the foundation of the immensity of the Kingdom of Heaven in the Earth. This is to be the cornerstone of what He is intending to build.
He shares with the disciples for us to begin to realize that this is the nature of this dimension we’ve never known before. This is the characteristic, this is the passion of Heaven. In His life, if you look at it and watch it and listen to Him when He’s not talking, when He’s talking, you’ll see the revealing of that. But He was the beginning of it, man, only our God would start Him and say, listen, every generation this is the beginning of what I want to do, think about what I want to do in your generation.
Two verses, then we’ll pray. You good? That was a fun introduction. Matthew chapter 13, just two verses. Thank you, Pastor Greg, this really makes it a lot more easier and fun for me, and I can say a lot more. There’s going to be seven parables of the Kingdom of Heaven, very specific. And then Luke is going to share one of the Kingdom of God. We’ll come to that in a moment.
Remember, again, it’s foundational, but look what Jesus says, it’s beautiful, verse 10, “and the disciples came and said to Him.” Got it? Am I a little too fast? Sorry, verse 13:10. Good, thank you, sorry. “The disciples came and said,” Excuse me, what’s up with the stories, you know, the parables. What are you doing? And He answered them, and I know He did this way, “Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries,” see, this Kingdom of Heaven is a mystery at this point, and still in many ways is, “mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
I love verse 17, “For verily I say unto you, that many prophets,” especially those back here who had a sense of it, “and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear the things which you hear, and have not heard them.”
Let’s pray. Father, thank you so much, for you know this, the honor I want to say on behalf of us, to you. You know this, how privileged I am, we are, to be part of the destiny that you’ve established. That our world, in its present condition, you would have the foreknowledge, the passion, and the compassion to do something that only you can do. We sat down Wednesday, and it is really.. if I’ve got a crying theme, we are desperate for you. Thank you for the blessings, thank you for the provision, thank you for being just who you are, nature, the way you care for us. But please hear me, we’re grateful for that. We want you. I know you know that I’m just expressing it openly. That’s our heart and passion. You’re the one working in us for that one desire, for you, that we might behold you in ways we never thought possible. I thank you for that. In Jesus’ name, amen.
All right, here we’re gonna go through these now. Remember, please, again, they’re foundational for us. First one, which I love, is this treasure. Now I’m gonna play like, this man, Jesus, tells a story, finds a treasure, he hides it, and he goes, and he sells everything he has. Man, that treasure. Sells everything. The treasure he found is humanity. Before the creation of the Earth, the Revelation, so beautiful, 13:8b, “the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the earth.”
I’m sure they knew that Adam was going to be just, just like one of us, fail, but I don’t believe at all it was for Adam’s failure. I believe in the beginning of time their heart for humanity was going to be greater than humanity could ever know.
Their love for humanity would be more than humanity could know, and he would come in His life and give His life and pay for His life, for even those who were hitting Him, beating Him. The people, the way they treated Him, refused Him, and He, at the end, expresses the love for humanity. “Father, forgive them.” What? Forgive who? Your disciples? These people who beat you, the lector, the Roman lector, and he whipped you, and they enjoyed it? The soldiers that beat your head? Yeah, because we were there, and He, from the beginning, loves humanity.
This is something the Earth has never known before. A matter of fact, the Hebrews, when they were raised by Moses’ law, were never to have a part of any community, they were never to be involved with their people, they were to be disdained by that, and this man comes, which made them crazy, He’s loving everybody.
So I want to, I want you to know that long before I became His, I was part of humanity, and as stupid as Jay Leroux was, He loved me, and He paid for me. I want us to know that, because our humanity right now is raging. The spirit of the age is pushing them around. They have a lot of things to say. They’re not really for a lot of things that we might be for, and it’s so important for us to know that Heaven sees them differently than most people or any nations have ever seen people.
So, the first thing is humanity. He paid it all to purchase all, and you do know this, I mean, I’m not a great theologian for sure, but He’s already been reconciled to the world. All they got to do is accept Him, just like me, I did, just like you.
All right, good. Second one, pearl of great price. Love it. So he finds a pearl, goes and sells all, sells everything, all of his pearls, all of his precious things are gone, comes back, buys the pearl. Who’s the pearl? The pearl is you. It’s you, it’s me. I have to know from this heavenly perspective that from the beginning He paid a debt for me. Even if I never accepted it, it was paid, because He loved me. But now I realize He came for me, because He saw something in you and I that we didn’t see.
Do you know, you know, some things about a pearl. Let me just do this, though. Can you, I mean, I wouldn’t think I would be this, maybe someone else, but a piece of irritating dirt gets stuck in some dark place and does nothing but irritate. Irritate, irritate, irritate, irritate, and out of the irritation somehow it becomes this beautiful thing. Now, I would never think that I was irritating, but, all right.
And see, isn’t it beautiful, but you might still think of yourself that way. You might still see yourself as a piece of dirt, no value. You might see more value in Pastor Greg, or in Dustin, or in the guy next to you, or somebody at work. And you still look in the mirror with the feeling like of rejection, nobody loves me, my father wasn’t there, and those things are all true, probably. But I want us to see how He sees us.
And I could look in the mirror every day, no matter what’s starting to sag, no matter what anybody thinks about me, and I know in His eyes and His sight. That’s why I live at the throne, that’s why I can’t wait to get there. He looks at this at one time, irritating, useless, worthless, no value at all. He would exchange everything for me. What did He see in us that we could never see? That’s how heaven views you, but I’m going to ask you this, though.
It’s coming along by Heaven’s standards, so that I see my neighbor like a pearl of great price, and I see the church down the street that doesn’t really like us as pearls of great price, and every time I meet a brother, whether he’s a believer or a disciple or a Christian, or whatever. Dresses like me, metal in his face, no metal in the face, colored hair, no color hair, hair, no hair. I have to see them. It’s changed my life in a prophetic way, from a judgmental, arrogant, hating people family that I grew up in, to be able to look at people, no matter what’s around them, or what they might be involved in, pearl of great price in the eyes of Him who we have to do.
Third one I love is this, this sower sows the seed. This is beautiful. It is the word of God, and when you and I got born again, the beautiful thing is that, and you see it in 1 Peter chapter one soon, verse 21, Now we are born again of an incorruptible seed by the word of God. The same seed that came down and fit into Mary for the first seed from above was to be the pattern.
And when I got born again, can you imagine, He took something from heaven, never happened before, I didn’t even know what it was at twenty-two years old, and He took this incorruptible seed by the word of God, it’s the Logos word of God, the Rhema word of God will endure forever.
Same two verses. He took the word of God, and I got born from above. All of a sudden, I got this above thing in me. It’s a seed, it’s incorruptible, you can’t kill it, no one can take it, it was undeniable. Now, the rest of Jay Leroux was still a lot of other dirt and stuff, but the inside right here, He put that seed in my heart, and I was a man, we called it born again, I was born from above.
Something in us is passionate for the above. We’ve got to have something from Him, because it’s in us. It’s something we don’t know how to define it, but we, I don’t know what it is, but I’m born from somewhere. That’s why I was born here, but I’m no longer from here, but I’m here for a reason.
But then what He kept doing was seeding me, seeding me, seeding me, and I love Jesus, He’s starting to say, listen, sometimes the seed will fall on on rocky ground, and the evil will come and take it, and sometimes it’ll fall, and He’s explained that there’s, there’s going to be issues.
And so you remember the first three seeds that he ever planted, I got born again, I was so happy. Then it was the next day that came in was, how much He forgave me, I cried for a year. Oh, then the next day He came in and says how I’m supposed to forgive others like He forgave me. Well, that kind of fell on thorns, and that didn’t do well. The enemy came and took it, I said, here, no, here, take this for me. I mean, yo, I dealt there for a year, you know. Then the next thing that came in was that I’m to love everybody. Well, I didn’t like my father, I hated my brother. We have a problem now, and guess who’s the problem?
But if I want the fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven, I’ve got to embrace these seeds He’s planting in us. You were here last week, right? Tough seeds last week. Did you hear them? Oh, they were tough. Jesus, you know, the man who comes out from heaven, as the pattern. Cool, hey, I want to be just like Him. No reputation takes on a form of bondslave. Whoa, what’s the bond slave? Oh, He serves everybody, even Judas. Now, oh no, no, no, no. When I come home, I got the big chair, everybody serves me. I mean, that’s how I was raised. I’m a man now, let’s get real. Come on, let’s not get nuts here. I know I’m in the Kingdom of God, and I know He’s different, but let’s not get crazy. Oh yeah, let’s get, let’s get. Yeah, so I would wrestle with those, as you, and the challenge for me was to obey them.
You know something about obedience, I don’t like it, and it’s suffering. I just thought that I would flow, the Lord would just say, Jay, give your life. Okay. Oh no, it wasn’t like that at all. Oh, I would give it to somebody, if they use it like I didn’t like, pick that right back up. I’m not giving it, they don’t use it right.
And then I started to get revelation or seeds about His life, you know, so He started that, I didn’t like, I liked it, I didn’t like it. I was out there going. Then He said He humbled Himself, so I gotta humble myself. I used to pray, ‘Humble me,’ and the Lord was like this, okay, I’ll humble you, bring some people around. I realized I had to humble myself. I just, you know, just to instruct the ladies here, as a male, that’s tough. Oh, come on, guys, no, not even a nod of the head, something. Oh, yeah, yeah, so I’m struggling.
But what I’m looking for, please let’s embrace every seed that comes, whether it’s in intimate time with Him, something we read, a revelation, a Rhema word. However, He just wants to see me. I mean, I wake up every day, I’ve got it with Him, seed, seed, seed, seed, seed, seed. The worst production would be thirty percent. Who would want that? I want a hundred, it’s the nature of this heavenly thing. He longs to give us more than we could ever believe.
Four. Got that? That was fun. This one I love, this is a mustard seed. Now we’re starting to get into the world a little bit here with the mustard seed, so I like that Jesus is going to use a lot of things, there’s seven or eight beautiful trees, He uses this thing. The mustard seed is really, I mean, it is, it literally is valueless, it’s the smallest seed of all the herbs.
So I want to say this to us, it’s important, this is how we must see ourselves. See, here it’s kind of a little bit confusing. Well, wait, I thought it was a great pearl. Well, you are, but you’re also a mustard seed. And so He wants to take you and I and plant us in this world, but when we get there, we have got to know, I’m insignificant.
So Jay Leroux, now, when Jay Leroux comes to town, I advertise, my name’s in lights, they show videos of me, I do stuff like this. Yeah, and so when they meet me at the door, it’s almost like incense is burning sometimes. They want me to float, and they have angels, fake angels singing over here, He’s here. Linda, when I get home, she goes, get the dishes after you load it in the dishwasher, and I say, ‘Hon, you know who I am? Yeah, I know who you are, I turned you on, then shut it off, because I was bored with that, and I listened to Pastor Greg instead. These are true stories, unfortunately.
So here’s what happened, like I, where you’re sitting now, the person next to me is more valuable than me. The person behind me, more valuable. If I go to the grocery store today, and that man has cashed me out, or that kid has cashed me out, more valuable than me. I need to see myself as insignificant. That’s how He came. That’s how He was. When they wanted to make Him king, He left. When they said, you’re great, He says, I’m nothing. My Father, He’s great.
When He’s with His disciples that last night, Pastor Greg did again, when he went to John chapter 13, I was like, Oh, I’m dying over here, because I know it. He disrobes, and He washes their feet, even Judas. It wasn’t just Peter who said, Get away from me. They all were indignant. Don’t you know who you are? You’re the Son of God. We, we know that you’re the man, you’re the.. you’re the all in all. You don’t wash feet, you’re great, you’re the king, and He says, See, you still don’t get it.
The Kingdom of Heaven is in Revelation and being revealed. This is the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven, is that I see my fellow man like that, but the beautiful thing is it has the potential to become great. Isn’t it beautiful? Only He would do that.
He didn’t say, Well, Jay, when you’re really good, and if you’re really the proper seed. No, no, no. He says, Listen, I’m going to plant you in the Earth, you got to see yourself as insignificant, unimportant. I don’t care if you make ten trillion, yeah, a trillion, like it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you’re president or you pick up the garbage or you’re unemployed, whoever you are in this Kingdom of Heaven, you’ve got to know you’re insignificant, everybody around is more important. But I will give opportunity for you to become the greatest thing is, and people will find life in you, people search you well, people want to hide in your life, people want to know who you are. I’ll do that, but don’t forget you’re insignificant.
You okay? All of this isn’t for me getting on you, we’re in this, I’m with you. This is our world, but we cannot live without the Kingdom of Heaven. I won’t, I won’t, can’t.
All right, moving on. I like this one. He uses a woman, she hides three meals of leaven and three meals of bread. Basically what it is is yeast, basically. But I love the word, it means she mingled it in, and it literally consumes the dough, as yeast would do. Here’s what He’s saying to us, you got to know from Heaven’s standpoint, I’m intending to plant you all around the world, and you will make your way into every bit of it, and it’ll be changed because of you.
I didn’t know that, I didn’t look at my world, because I didn’t realize how much He loves humanity. I didn’t think about that, I only thought about humanity, attitudes, what they did, I didn’t know He loved them, and so I’ve had to walk this way, and now when He’s planted me in there, I gotta be insignificant, but I know that He wants to be great, but in the meantime, I’ve gotta realize that everybody around me though, I’ve gotta influence. Hi, how are you doing? How’s it going? What’s going on with you? How’s your family? How’s your friends? How’s this? How’s that? I know the airport’s tough. I know it’s a long day. Thank you for doing this. Thank you for doing the coffee. Thank you for just being here. Thank you, just, thank you, appreciate you.
The next one, I love. We’re almost done. This one is good, because it’s the wheat and the tares. I grew up with, you know, if you read it, that the wheat is what the sower plants, and then the tares are planted by the enemy. So I was raised, listen, Jay, now you’ve come out of the world, the world is your enemy, they’re like tares. Really? Oh yeah, they’ll be in your neighborhood, in your family too. Oh yeah, they’ll be plants of the enemy at work and everything. So make sure you find out who they are. So I used to go to work like this, with that charismatic discerning look, and I marked the tares.
Did I find some wheat, two or three wheats? Hey, come here. Hey, cool, you praise the Lord? Yeah, I saw that Jesus did cool. Now listen, we gotta identify the tares. Oh yeah, they’re planted by the enemy. Oh, our boss, the owner’s a tare. Yeah, I know, I heard Him, what a mouth. So, why don’t we hang out together and stay away from them? The problem is, Jesus said, Listen, they’re going to grow together. I was like, Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah, you’re supposed to have tares, your neighbor, co-worker, family member, in-law, outlaw, whatever side they’re on.
See, I didn’t know that. So I’m looking differently now at the people that are around me, no matter how they act, how they look, what they say, what they don’t believe, what they believe. I just see it there, I mean, see it differently. That’s how He saw them. How could He not get mad at the people around Him? How does He not shake His fist at Rome? How does He not? Because He never saw them like that.
This is what happens at harvest, tares have no fruit, so they stand erect at harvest time. Wheat gets fruit, seed, seed, seed, seed, seed, seed, until it’s so heavy they end up doing, the wheat does this [bends forward]. See, I thought, and I was raised, this is a position of humility, of embarrassment, weakness, but I realize that humility is a Kingdom of Heaven strength. That I’m supposed to be humble, and when I want to fight, I got to realize humility is one of the characteristics He has, and the more fruit He gives me, the more humbling it is. You know, it’s just what He does, it’s humbling.
Then Luke says it this way, he goes, Well, I’m going to plant you in the Earth. Yeah, you are going to be the seed, and then what I want you to do is, I want you to seed. So you and I are planted in the Earth, it’s pearls of great price in our eyes, insignificant, but greatness is not just an opportunity, it’s what He wants. Every servant shall be great, the greatest shall serve.
And then, while I’m there, I have to realize that there’s going to be tares around me, and what He wants to do is come for the tares, that’s how He wages war. Those that the enemy planted in our lives, it’s kind of like this, what the enemy thought for evil, He is already working for good.
How many people have you, are in your job, or in your life, that didn’t believe, and at times they were your enemies, and all of a sudden, over time, are now our brothers? They became those pearls. I just didn’t know this is just the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven. I didn’t know I wasn’t raised like this, I was born in another world, but now we’re born again from this world.
The last one, of course, is the net. He’s going to cast the net in every generation. The last net will be the final generation, that’s what Jesus is talking about. He’s going to cast the net, and I love what He says, He goes, Now, when you cast the net, you get all kinds of fish, good fish like you and me, and then bad fish like them out there. You know I’m concerned, though, because Jesus says no get them, bring them all in. I already see in me, I’m already having an attitude toward the fish that are out there, to what they say, what they look like, what they don’t say, what they don’t look like, what they like, it says there’s- He says they’re just not good fish, but He brings them in.
I believe we’re about to see a net-throwing by our God that’s unprecedented. We want it, though. We want Him to sickle the Earth. We want to see a huge harvest, not just our family, but we want to see God not just turn a couple people around, we want to see cities and states turn, nations turn. Is that not true? Especially here at Vintage, Fort Collins. We want to see it happen.
He’s just preparing us by these menial words of mine, just preparing us, because He wants to do something in our Earth we have never seen before. I appreciate the visitations, I appreciate the rain, I appreciate the winds, but this God from the beginning of time determined to dwell with His people. It’s a different, different level of stuff. Amen?
So I’ve been sharing this, this is a Jesus word, okay? You know I like doing this like this, but so I’ve been sharing this in some places in different ways, probably, maybe the last year, maybe. Linda’s boarded already, she likes the next steps of it all, because He wants to do some things that we’ve never seen before. She prefers those parts of this, but the Lord is preparing Vintage from head to toe, because He intends to do something here that we have never seen before.
I’m going to mention a few of those things. That’s why, in many ways, He’s been very, very strategic on the foundation. That’s why He’s been very deliberate on the building, not just the building, the building this way, but with the building of the lives here. I know these men and these women that are, that are here, you as well. He’s strategic at building it, He knows that we need a demonstration of power, and I want to say to Vintage, you’ll begin to see the power of God return here in ways you haven’t seen it before.
Much of it was going on with them over there, but He wants to release the power to the next generation, my generation I’m hoping that we see it. His heart is to do it in our day, but there’s a struggle right now with Him and us, it’s a struggle with Him in the Earth now. Our generation is just that way, in the church world, there’s just a, there’s just not a clashing, but there’s just a, there’s just a strain between it.
But He will do it, and much of the reason this church is here, Vintage is here, planted by them with this team, is because the Lord intends to not just pour out His Spirit, that’s something we’ve had in history, and we do need that again, but He is determined to prepare a place that He can dwell in. For that to happen, He has to be reestablished as the cornerstone, He has to be re-established as the center of all, the preeminent one. That’s the Ephesians 2 prayer, is that He’s going to do this, and out of that, He’s going to build a fresh house. We need this desperately.
So this is my cry, my earnest travail for years, but this isn’t coming out of that, and I could never, I would never prophesy over my own cry, it has to be the word of the Lord. And I’m loving it here though, because even I was on my way, and I’ve noted from the beginning that He’s always done the work in here, in their personal lives, in your personal lives, because of what He was intending to do. He loves to repair and rebuild, and it’s happening.
I’ve said it over several of the men while I’ve been here, some of the older men, because of what we’ve been through in our church world. If you talk with Pastor Gary, he’s got a lot of scars back here, and a lot of skin missing because of the church world that we’ve grown up in. That is over. Moses is dead, and we’re going to see the Lord do in covenant and intent of His purpose, intent of His will, we’re going to see dimensions of it that we’ve never seen before, that the Lord is going to do in the Earth.
But He’s chosen Vintage to be a beginning place of what His heart’s been from the beginning, and much of the reason you have them, you have this team here, is because He’s been, I’ve known him over the years, working in them. We could have a big church, we could, let’s have 54 campuses, if He wants to do that, fine, but that’s not their passion, they’re wanting Him, and they’re wanting us as a people to come to know Him in ways we’ve never known Him, and they have a demonstration of who He is by power, the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Heaven.
That’s been the passion, and I just want you to know the Lord is pleased with the work. Is everything perfect? Please. I know this when I, when I’m in my safest place, is with Him, but I got all kinds of problems. I’ll kick the dog tomorrow, even though I’m supposed to be a humble servant, and I won’t like my neighbor sometimes, and I’m thankful that I got blood that I can repent from. But that’s not, He doesn’t live by that, He’s got a passion for us in this generation, a passion for our world. He is, it’s burning in Him, and I can’t express it enough by words, that’s why I’m doing it like this. Words can’t express the passion He has and the longing He has to move in our Earth, and what an honor for us.
He says I’m here in this church and in this city, what an honor for us in Vintage that He would so bring us that are here, allow me, us, to be a part of it, that He would so look down and say, this people, I’m going to begin a work in, this people I know will give themselves to me, and this people they’ll be a pattern of things I desire to do, not just one generation, but the generation that’ll come.
He’s always been not one or two or three generations, this God wants to change the generations for generations. And my brother, my sister, especially for you too, you have to know that our life choices make more difference than we realize, and it’s an honorable thing. He doesn’t put me up here with all kinds of pressure, well, Jay, you better do it right, or them as pastors, so you better get it right. No, that’s our father, that’s our boss, He’s nothing like that.
What He’s done, though, He’s made a throne with that, that’s full of grace, that when I need the grace it’s there, when I need the mercy it’s there, but He’s passionate about doing something in our Earth, in the United States, that we have never seen before. This is just a stone in it.
I’m sure they will articulate this better than me, you know, sometimes I only, I have to force a lot into one moment, but you know me to a degree, I just want to just say this as I close, you know, about us, though. Our lives are lived for you, our lives are lived for them, our lives are lived for our family, we made a decision a long time ago, it really wasn’t about fame or fortune, about my name, and, and He knows this, if I never do this again, and no one ever sees me again, our cry for what the Lord has said will not die in us until we’re dead. This is a good day to believe Him.
