The Lord is entirely trustworthy, and Advent is the deliverance of His promise. He takes our trust in Him seriously because His character is flawless and He is faithful.

The first Sunday of Advent focuses on our expected hope for the promises of God, even when it seems that God is silent and our hope has been deferred.

We cannot live with self-control and in right conduct if we don’t have a plan to manage our emotions. We need to create an action plan with Lord for how we will conduct ourselves during hardship.

If our view of God the Father is not correct, we easily fall into lies about who we are. We are encouraged to examine our understanding of God so that we might rightly deal with ourselves, deal with forgiveness, and deal with trials.

Living generously doesn’t just mean financial generosity; it means generosity in all parts of our lives.

When things go wrong in our lives, and unexpected circumstances shake our world, it can be easy to lose hope. But despite what happens, Jesus is always our Savior, Lord, and Hope.

We are in a place and time when sin has taken hold of our region and it is our job as believers to faithfully pray, that we might become conduits for the things of God in our world.

Jesus invites us to live a generous lifestyle, asking us to trust Him with our giving so that we would become generous people.

It is easy to become indifferent to the voice of the Lord over time, but He is gracious towards His people and gently calls us back to repentance.

In this second part of our series on Jeremiah 29, we are diving into three key instructions from God for how captive Israel is to live in Babylon.

As citizens of Heaven living in captivity on earth, we have a choice to live from God’s promise or from our perspective.

Jesus brings about a new humanity, defining who we are to be through Him in our identity, attitude, and behavior.

In Philippians 4:10-20, we learn that generosity is the outcome of a life submitted to the Biblical principles of stewardship and contentment. Contentment means understanding and embracing the fact that God is in control of our circumstances.

The chaos and tribulation of life are only going to get worse, and we have a choice to take a stand or run away. We are called to return to the Lord and strengthen ourselves in Him. Daniel gives us an example of how to stand firm in our faith.

Our external worlds are influenced by our internal disciplines. One thing we don’t always think about is that Jesus was extremely good at managing His internal nature.

“But these Three Remain: Faith, Hope, and Love.”

If we are serious about seeking revival in our church and region, we have to understand what Proverbs says about the fear of the Lord.

What posture do you take amid difficult times? We have a choice; we either believe in God’s plan in tough times or we don’t.

Will you still trust God if things don’t go as you wanted? We may not always see Jesus in real life, as the disciples did 2000 years ago, but every day He is giving us opportunities to get to know Him better.

In Luke 11:1-11, the disciples came to Jesus and said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” They wanted to lean into prayer.

Nehemiah’s ultimate intention – let the revelations of God be known.

What is Sabbath? A day set aside to rest, not to work, it’s a holy day. The Lord modeled this for us in the Creation story as He rested on the 7th day.

We believe that Holy Spirt is stirring up the waters in Vintage City Church, and our hope is in His presence, which will never leave or forsake us.
