David demonstrates that repenting out of conviction is possible after sinning. It’s possible to return to the person God called you to be. For David, he returned to the person he once was – a Shepherd, a King, a Worshipper.

If we humble ourselves and ask God to show us His way and favor, we’ll find Him overflowing us with His goodness and giving us the desire to please Him.

King David is famous for his reputation. He conquers historic enemies of Israel. He even slays the giant in the valley of Elah. But for some reason, David hit a wall.

Those who followed the early Church did so at a great cost. It cost them their time, their talents, and treasure. They joined other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles’ teachings and fellowship.

Just as Jesus cleared out the temple in Jerusalem, so is He inviting you to let Him clean out your temple. The question is, would you trust Him to do it?

As followers of Christ, we must choose the posture of hearing, listening, and following God’s voice just as sheep hear and follow the voice of their shepherd.
